A Note for Teachers & Parents

Word Power — Arrange the Meaning!

Why This Game Works

Vocabulary DepthMoves students beyond "synonym = same meaning" into real shades of meaning and intensity.
Comparative ReasoningStudents must justify why one word is stronger or weaker than another — not just recall a definition.
Oral & Written LanguageThe Explain Your Thinking step builds expressive language, with speech-to-text so typing/spelling never blocks a student from showing what they know.
Low-Stakes GrowthStudents can retry an order as many times as needed without losing their explanation — mistakes are part of the thinking, not a penalty.

How to Play

1. SEE ITA set of related words appears, like small, tiny, minuscule, microscopic.
2. SORT ITTap a word, then tap a slot on the meter to place it — least to greatest.
3. CHECK ITPress Check My Order. Some close-in-meaning words have more than one reasonable order.
4. SAY ITExplain the choice by typing or speaking — great for a quick formative check.

Best used in short bursts (5–10 minutes) as a warm-up, center activity, or vocabulary review.
